Why upload, not type
Why this tool never makes a UPI QR from a UPI ID.
A QR made from a typed UPI ID is not issued by your bank, and UPI apps can decline it or limit what it takes. The merchant QR your bank or payment app gave you is the one made for your account, so it is the one that works every time. This tool places your own QR on the poster, exactly as your bank made it.
Before you print
- Before you put it out, ask someone to pay ₹1 from their phone by scanning the printed poster.
- Print on thick paper or laminate it. A matte finish is easier to scan under a bulb than a glossy one.
- Keep each code at least 5 cm wide on a counter standee.
- Put it where the customer stands to pay, at eye level, not flat behind the till.
