Sell one item in multiple sizes with variants
Video walkthrough coming soon
Follow the written steps below — they cover everything the video will show.
Variants let a single item carry multiple prices — think Half/Full portions, drink sizes or pack weights. Customers pick the one they want at order time.
Customization options go a step further: add-on groups (extra cheese, toppings) and remove options (no onion) that customers choose while ordering.
Open the item and find Variants
Edit the item on the Menu page and scroll to the "Variants" section, then tap "+ Add variants".
Say what the variants vary by
Fill "Variants vary by" with something like Size, Portion or Weight — this word is shown to customers when they choose.
Add each option with its price
For each row enter a name (e.g. "Large"), its ₹ price and an optional Offer ₹ discount price. Mark one as Default — that's the price shown on your menu.
Add customizations if you want them
In "Customization Options", use "+ Add-ons" for paid extras, "+ Remove Options" for things customers can leave out, or "+ Custom Group" for anything else. Set Required, Min and Max per group.
Save
Tap "Update Item". The storefront now shows a chooser when customers add this item.
💡 Good to know
- When variants are on, the item's single price field disappears — every variant carries its own price.
- Each variant has its own in-stock toggle, so you can run out of Large without hiding Small.
- An item can hold up to 10 variants.
