A solo vendor shouldn't tap four buttons per order, and a full team shouldn't have steps happen by themselves. Staffing modes tune the order flow to how you actually work — and switching is always safe: your order history and reports stay identical.
Open Settings → Staffing Mode
In Settings, pick "Staffing Mode" under Operations.
Pick the preset that matches your day
"🧑🍳 Just me" — 2 taps per order: accept with payment and food ready; the rest is automatic. "👥 Me + kitchen staff" — counter accepts and collects, the kitchen screen gets orders instantly. "🏪 Full team" — every step is a deliberate hand-off, nothing happens automatically.
Set your two policy toggles
"Auto-accept new orders" accepts orders the moment they're placed. "Accept before payment" adds the "Accept — collect later" option beside Cash and UPI, with unpaid balances chased under Payment due. Both survive preset switches.
Fine-tune under Advanced settings
Auto-start preparing, auto-clear handed-over orders after a grace period, and when to escalate a waiting order — all adjustable if the presets aren't quite right.
Save
Tap Save — the Counter board reflects the new mode immediately, including its subtitle (e.g. "Solo mode — accept & hand over, the rest is automatic").
💡 Good to know
- Start with the honest answer for today, not your ambition — you can switch the day you hire.
- Product and service businesses see "Order Acceptance" instead: a simpler auto-accept choice for the fulfilment board.
