Set up dine-in tables & table QR ordering
Table management turns dine-in into running tabs: each table gets a QR code, customers scan it to order from their seat, every round lands on the table's tab, and you settle once when they leave.
Create your tables
Open "Tables" (in the sidebar on a computer, the bottom bar on a phone) and tap "Manage" to open Manage tables. Tap "Add a table" and fill in a Name (e.g. "Table 1"), an optional Section (e.g. "Terrace") and Seats (use "Fewer" and "More"), then tap "Add table".
Download each table's QR
In the table list, tap "QR" then "Download the poster" for an A5 poster (or "Copy link" or "Share"). Place the printed QR on the table. Customers scan it and their orders land on that table's tab automatically.
Make sure self-ordering is on
If it's off, the QR sheet says "Self-ordering is off" and offers a one-tap "Turn on self-ordering", otherwise scanning customers are told ordering is unavailable.
Seat guests and take rounds
On a free table tap "Take order" to open the till for it (or "Seat guests" to open a tab and order later). The till says "Goes on this table's tab", so no payment is chosen. After "Place order", an "Order placed" card offers "Back to the counter" or "Add another round". Add later rounds with "Add items" on the table card; if the table has more than one bill, the till asks "Which bill?".
Open a seated table
Tap a seated table to see its orders, what is "Still to collect", and a "Join code" that guests type on their phone to join that bill. From here you can "Ask for the bill", "Print bill", "Open the bill", "Send the bill" to their phone or start a "New bill".
Settle and close the table
When they're done, tap "Settle" (or "Take payment" once the table has asked for its bill) and pick how the table paid: "Cash", "UPI", "Card", or "Close without recording a payment". It then asks, for example, "Take ₹840 and close T6?"; tap "Close the table" and the table is free again.
Good to know
- The board shows every table's state at a glance (Free, Seated or Bill) with counts like "4 free, 2 seated, 1 to pay".
- Orders on a tab don't ask for payment when accepted. The whole tab is collected at settle time.
- Table QRs use permanent links, so laminate them once and forget them.
- Tables › Manage also holds "Staff open tables first" (guests can only start a bill at a table your staff have opened) and "Table buttons" (what guests can ask for from their phone: a waiter, water, the bill). Both are for the owner.
