Take counter orders with the POS
Video walkthrough coming soon
Follow the written steps below — they cover everything the video will show.
The POS is for orders you take yourself — walk-ins, phone orders, regulars. It's the same menu customers see, laid out as fast tap-tiles with payment built in.
Open the POS
Tap "POS" in the sidebar, or "+ New Order" right from the Counter board.
Tap items to build the order
Tap menu tiles to add them; items with sizes or add-ons open a chooser first. Adjust quantities with the − / + steppers in the Current Order panel.
Pick dine-in or takeaway
On plans with table management, choose "Dine-in" or "Takeaway" and optionally attach a table — the order then runs on that table's tab.
Add the customer and any discount
Expand "Customer" to save their mobile and name ("Lookup" recognises returning customers), and "Discount" to apply one with a reason.
Record the payment and place it
Pick "💵 Cash", "📱 UPI" or "💳 Card" (or "📋 On tab" for a seated table) and tap "Place order".
Print and go again
The confirmation shows the order number with "Print KOT" and "Print Bill", then "Take another order" resets the panel for the next customer.
💡 Good to know
- Totals handle GST, service charge, packaging and round-off automatically based on your Settings → Taxes & Charges.
- On a phone, the cart opens as a bottom sheet via the "View order" bar.
- POS orders are attributed to whoever is switched in — useful when several staff share one device.
