Manage your stock in one place
Stock is one place for everything that comes in, gets made, gets sold and gets lost. Its Today page tells you what needs doing, and every change lands in one ledger, so your numbers always add up.
Ready items, waste and "We made something" are on every plan. Ingredients, purchases, bill scans, counts and reorders come with Charcoal and above (a food business sees "Ingredients", any other business "Materials"). Recipes, food cost and "Usually" suggestions need Gas or Solar.
Open Stock
Tap "Stock" in the sidebar, under Operations, or in the KioSnap Vendor app's menu. On a phone, tap the three lines at the top first. Today opens with four buttons: "Delivery came in", "We made something", "Something got wasted" and "Count the shelf", and "Needs you" below them lists what to look at.
Record a delivery, or scan the bill
Tap "Delivery came in". To skip the typing, tap "Scan a bill" and take a photo of the supplier's bill: KioSnap reads it, and "A bill is ready to check" appears in a few seconds. Tap "Check it", see that each line is matched to the right ingredient, the amount and the price, pick "Paid from" and tap "Save". The stock goes up, and what you paid is added to Expenses on its own.
Log what you made
For items made fresh each day, tap "We made something" and type how many came out of the kitchen. On Gas and Solar each line says "Usually" and a number: what that item usually sells on this day of the week. Tap "Save".
See what you have and how long it lasts
Open "Ingredients" (other businesses see "Materials") for everything you buy: how much is left, what it is worth, its supplier, and "Lasts about" so many days at the rate you use it. Tap "Running low" to see only what needs buying, "History" for every change to one shelf, and "Suppliers" for the people you buy from. "Ready items" lists what you sell and count, and at closing "Close the day's stock" decides what happens to what is left: keep it, waste it or give it as a staff meal.
Log what got wasted
Tap "Something got wasted", pick what it was, type how much and choose why: "Went bad", "Past its date", "Damaged or broken", "Made wrong", "Returned by a customer", "Didn't sell" or "Other". Add a note if you like and tap "Save". It comes off the shelf and shows in the Waste report.
Count the shelf once a week
Tap "Count the shelf" and type what is really there; leave a line empty to skip it. Each line says "Matches", or how much is missing or extra and what it is worth in rupees. Tap "Save count" and the shelf is corrected. What went missing beyond what sales used shows under "Unaccounted" in Food cost.
Add recipes to see food cost
Open "Recipes" and tap an item. Under "Made from, for one" add each ingredient and how much one uses, and tap "Save". From then on every order takes its ingredients off the shelf by itself, and the item shows what it costs to make, what it sells for and its margin.
Read your reports
Open "Reports". "Waste" shows what was thrown away, why, and what it cost, by week or month. "Food cost" shows sales, ingredients used and your food cost as a share of sales, plus anything unaccounted that your counts found.
Reorder from Needs you
"Needs you" on Today lists what is out, what to reorder, what has no cost or recipe yet and when you last counted. Tap "things to reorder": KioSnap suggests enough for about a week for each supplier. Change any amount and tap "Send on WhatsApp" to send the order in one tap.
Good to know
- Give each ingredient its supplier and their mobile once, and reorders go to the right person every time.
- Bill scans: one a day on Charcoal, two on Gas and four on Solar. A scan saves nothing until you tap Save, so you can always check it first.
